God and His Revelation

1. Our knowledge of the person and will of God begin with the Scriptures for they are the words of God, a supernatural revelation intended for the good of mankind. The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by God, without error in the originals and faithfully transmitted across the millenniums. They are the sovereign final authority for the faith and our lives. They teach us how to live correctly in order to be successful in this life as well as for eternity. Being the expression of the breath of the God who cannot lie, the Scriptures are true in all that they affirm and must be understood in the normal sense. God’s Word promotes success and life and therefore has the solutions to our problems, if we trust and obey its teachings. We do not accept any so called revelations outside of God’s written Word.

2. This unique God has revealed Himself to be a complex being, a tri-unity of three co-eternal Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is spirit, eternal, holy, just, moral, well intending and caring. He is interested in each and every one of us. This unique God is the Creator of all things, the absolute point of reference for all things. He defines by His character and His Word that which is good, moral and just: He makes the rules; humanity must obey.
